VibroBLAST DCK ALL-IN-ONE 2025

About three years later from the first editorial posted on SF4T about the VibroBLAST ALL-IN-ONE (it was February 2022), this technology has acquired maturity and reliability. Here below the cover of the latest brochure of 12 pages, describing the technology, the system and how it works:

Just reading the cover, the immediate feeling is of a fully automatic POST PROCESS technology, that provides to several tasks efficiently and smoothly.

Indeed, the VibroBLAST ALL-IN-ONE version 2025 is a mature system, strong of several positive experiences, that allows to an Additive Manufacturing Service center to take care of the Post Process activity of several printing units. Describing the main functions of the system, shown in the recent video posted in this SF4T updated space, what happens before all is that the operator loads the build, coming from an SLS® or from a MJF® Additive Manufacturing Process, with the help of a small elevator. After closing the door of the top section of the DCK system, the operator can just select the recipe number and just push the AUTOMATIC START button. All the next tasks are done one after the other in fully automatic mode.

AUTOMATIC DE-CAKING

SLS®/MJF® Build Destructuration
This phase, for a build size 300x300x300 mm, of PA12, is generally divided in three steps and lasts (min/max) 5 to 10 minutes. One evident advantage is offered by the possibility of the vibration to drive the build both in clockwise or in counter clockwise sense, whilst three different areas are providing compressed air from different directions, over the build.

AUTOMATIC DE-POWDERING

Additive Powder Recovery
This is a masked time phase, it means that it happens during the whole duration of the de-caking phase. The bottom of the top section of the DCK section, fully made in stainless steel, has a floor made of a special perforated sheet, with very fine and small holes. Below this perforated plane, there is a buffer area where the additive powder goes.

AUTOMATIC POWDER SELECTION

Additive Powder Precise Selection
The afore described buffer, acts as a collection area which, through vibration, directs the additive powder towards a tube, which automatically conveys it into a circular vibrating separator, with one or more separating grids, with or without the aid of ultrasonic waves. Good size powder is finally recovered, whilst bigger size droplets are discharged.

AUTOMATIC VIBROBLAST PROCESS

Surface Preparation with VibroBLAST !
The VibroBLAST surface preparation is applied to all the workpieces during the de-structuration of the build, removing the main quantity of the additive powder. The result are parts that are blasted gently and automatically for min/max 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the size and shape (generally parts are medium small size for this kind of systems).

AUTOMATIC POWDER RECOVERY

Selected Powder automatic recovery
The way to recover the good quality additive powder after its automatic selection, are at least two: the most simple consists in discharging it into a basket – alternatively the pipe of the good quality selected powder can be connected to an “AIR-TRANSPORT” piping (generally provided separately) to direct the powder in a precise collecting point.

BRAND NEW SOFTWARE – R.2025

With the year 2025, the software has been up-dated and integrated with several improved safety features, and with an improved remote control to offer software assistance. The software has been designed in strict cooperation between Rollwasch, who is following the after-sales assistance, and Techno Surface, who has studied the system in detail.

POWERFULL ASPIRATION/FILTERING SYSTEM – R.2025
With the year 2025, the Aspiration/Filtering system has been powered from 0,75 kW to 2,2 kW – increasing of about three times the filtering surface and using a fully automatic countercleaning compressed air process with frequent intervals, against the manual shaking cleaning at the end of each process – the efficiency has boosted up very much, with great results and clean parts at the end of the VibroBLAST surface preparation process.
PLUG & PLAY
Thanks to the design of the cabin, the air pipe and the electric line can be connected from the top side (open). As well, the visual communication lighting is positioned in a way to be visible from almost all sides. Last but not the least, the cabin has doors on all sides, protected by (internal) RFID sensors.
